After years of planning, logistical and funding coordination, and hard work, Bardon Latrobe Football Club is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the installation of our new lighting system. This project marks a significant milestone in the club’s ongoing efforts to provide facilities that are safe, compliant with modern standards, and give our players the best possible environment to train and compete.
The journey to reach this point has been a long and sometimes challenging one. Thanks to the project team and the unwavering support from our community and stakeholders, we are now on the brink of fully realising the benefits of this major upgrade.
Club President Samuel Irvine Casey expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “It’s been a long road to get to this point, but I’m incredibly excited about what these new lights will bring to our club. This project is about more than just improving our facilities; it’s about investing in our future and creating a space where our players can thrive.”
The project was made a priority based on member feedback. It would not have been possible though without the generous funding provided by both the State Government ‘Active Gameday Project’ (circa $105k) and the Federal Government ‘Investing in our communities program’ (circa $165k). Their contributions have been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and we are deeply grateful for their support.
With the installation phase complete and two audits passed the new lights are now fully operational, providing enhanced visibility and safety for our players during evening training sessions and matches.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has played a role in this project. From our dedicated project team to the council and government representatives, and of course, our club members and community – this achievement is a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together.
Stay tuned for more updates, and we can’t wait to see our new lights in action, illuminating the future of Bardon Latrobe Football Club!
